Mapping the Stars is a drawing game with one big twist: you can only draw by connecting the stars already on the page.

On each turn, the Artist receives a secret Mission word while the other players are given only the category as their clue. The Artist then chooses an Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert Star Map and attempts to create the picture without lifting their pencil, crossing lines, or breaking the other drawing rules.

Choose an easier map with plenty of stars for a safer Mission—or take on a sparse Expert map for a bigger reward.

If the other players guess your drawing, your spaceship moves farther across the Universe Track. Use Boost Stars, Finishing Stars, and Star Powers along the way to turn even the strangest constellation into something recognizable.

Every Mission gives you the same question: How much can you create with the stars you’re given?

Every Mission starts with a secret word and one important decision:

The Artist draws a Mission Card and secretly sees the word. Everyone else only hears the category clue.

⭐ EASY
Lots of stars. More options.
Move 1 Space

⭐⭐ MEDIUM
Fewer stars. More creative choices.
Move 2 Spaces

⭐⭐⭐ HARD
A sparse star field and a serious challenge.
Move 3 Spaces

⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXPERT
Very few stars. Make every connection count.
Move 4 Spaces

Start on a star and create your picture by connecting star to star.

But there’s a catch:

Don’t lift your pencil. Don’t cross your lines. And choose your path carefully.

The other players call out guesses while you draw. Once your connected picture is finished, you can add Finishing Stars for those last important details.

If someone guesses correctly, move your spaceship based on the difficulty you chose—and earn even more movement by incorporating Boost Stars or completing your Mission Bonus.

Play it safe… or shoot for the stars. The harder the map, the farther you can travel.
