The honorable Lion King has fallen, leaving the jungle without a ruler. Now the animals race toward the vacant throne—but danger waits ahead. The first animal to reach the throne is eliminated by hidden hyenas lurking in ambush.

In King of the Jungle, players take the role of powerful Kingmakers, influencing the movement of every animal, while secretly supporting 3, in the race to shape the outcome and score the most points. Push animals forward, hold rivals back, trigger hazards, rescue animals in distress, and use unique abilities to control the fate of the race.

After each turn, the dice used on that turn is removed (unless otherwise indicated).  The next player takes the remaining die, and starts their turn.  This continues until there is one die left.  At that point, the lurking hyenas take their turn, and if they catch one of the racers, they are eliminated from the game along with their die.
